It appears that sometime over the last several days, weather has made a change to their weather codes. most instructions for weather skins (including on the forums) suggest going to the main weather site, searching for a location, and grabbing a section of the resulting url from the browser's address bar to use for the location code. Many skins are using weather and they rely on the api key which sometimes gets changed. many modern weather skins will have a weathercomjsonvariables.inc file or a separate skin with settings where you can change the api key. But since the weather now the geographical coordinates are required, i wonder if there is any similar site which on a search to a location name, can return not the weather code, but the latitude and longitude of the found places. many thanks for any help.

Weather already is blocked in several regions and this source may help those who skins aren't working, get them working again with a few simple code changes. and who knows how long before weather decides it wants everyone to pay for their service it happened to almost every other free weather data source in the past.
