The sierra leone chamber for agribusiness development (slecad) engaged farmers, agribusiness smes, and key stakeholders in port loko district from 6th–11th september 2023 under the opportunity salone project, implemented with support from the international labour organization (ilo).

The aim of this research is to identify problems limiting agricultural productivity of farmers in port loko and bombali district in the northern province of sierra leone so that informed decisions could be made to improving the livelihoods of female farmers, their families and communities. The goal of the mathaska agricultural project is to improve the livelihood security of port loko district’s farmers by increasing their skills in the sustainable management of agricultural resources.
