Jackson County Fire Training Center Bm K Physically demanding yet, as our recruits worked hard with their academy instructors and firefighter collin lee at various buildings throughout the district and at our training center. they honed their skills in throwing ladders quickly, safely, and effectively—crucial for rescues and vertical ventilation.the recruits also. > jackson county fire district 5 accepting applications to establish a 2024 2025 firefighter register. candidates will have the opportunity to be placed on two registers in this process (if they apply to both agencies). candidates can also choose to apply to a single agency only. Lomakatsi Partners With Jackson County Fire District 5 On Workforce Training is a critical function of the district in that all members must constantly be prepared for a wide variety of very complex and stressful fire, medical, and or rescue situations. We are currently seeking community minded individuals who believe in the principles of civil service and are interested in contributing to the integrity and effectiveness of our fire district. Up to 12 positions as part of a fema grant sponsored, fully compensated firefighter apprenticeship program. this is a 3 year (limited term) position in which the selected applicants will be assigned to existing fire companies while working under the direction of a fire captain. Career line staff and district personnel were on hand to greet them in the opening ceremony. the firefighters from the 24 01 academy performed the ceremony at the top of our tower. the four recruits will now begin an intensive 10 week academy.".
