Six Towns Water Supply Project Sierra Leone Water Company The managing director of the sierra leone water company, ing. george lamin vandi together with the project management team has concluded a critical supervision visit to kambia, magburaka and kabala water supply project sites under the six towns water supply project. The management of the sierra leone water company (salwaco) including the ministry of water resources over the weekend visited the bonthe water supply project site.

Reflecting on the achievements of 2023, salwaco made significant strides in improving its water supply infrastructure. the company embarked on optimizing water supply stations in kambia, kailahun, moyamba, kabala, pujehun, and magburaka, with these projects now at various stages of implementation. Saying currently water supply access stands at 74%, and they are aiming to expand this to 84% by 2030, which efforts include expanding their distribution network, especially in underserved. According to the minister, the project will also see the completion of the construction of water supply facilities in 6 district headquarters towns. he said salwaco will complete the implementation of the blama bandawor and six villages water supply project.

The managing director of the sierra leone water company (salwaco), ing. tiideni hawa jabbi, has conducted an inspection tour of the blama, bandawor, and six other villages water supply project at wanjei river, aimed at fast tracking completion of the long standing infrastructure initiative. Presenting the institution’s key achievements from january 2025 to date, kamara disclosed that six major water supply stations are currently being implemented across the country. these include projects in kambia, kailahun, moyamba, kabala, pujehun, and magburaka. He said that the six (6) towns water supply project is expected to serve a minimum of three hundred thousand (300,000) people across sierra leone. the salwaco md further informed that the cost of the project is in the region of 58 million us dollars.
